(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – According to South Carolina’s Post & Courier, former U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley is running for president in 2024. She will publicly declare her candidacy on February 15.
According to reports, Haley will officially announce her candidacy during a “special announcement” that will take place at The Shed Downtown at the Charleston Visitor Center in downtown Charleston.
Less than two weeks before the news of Haley’s presidential announcement, she told Fox News’s Bret Baier that she thought she would be the person to steer America in a “new direction.”
“When considering a run for president, you consider two factors: First, does the circumstances call for fresh leadership? “Am I that person who could be that next leader?” said Haley.

Haley will be the second Republican to enter the 2024 presidential campaign, following former President Donald Trump.
The news comes on the heels of Mike Pompeo’s new memoir, which claims that Haley “played” the role of Trump’s former chief of staff while plotting with Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump to succeed her father as vice president.
Pompeo’s claims, in contrast, were rejected by Haley as “lies and gossip to promote a book.”
It’s interesting to note that Haley had previously declared she wouldn’t run for politics if Trump made his third attempt for the White House official.
In 2021, she said, “I would not run if President Trump ran, and I would talk to him about it.” In the event that a decision needs to be taken, “it’s something we’ll talk about at some point.”
Haley and Trump had a conversation before Haley’s presidential campaign became public. During a weekend campaign swing that included a stop in Haley’s native South Carolina, Trump claimed that Haley called him and discussed her impending candidacy, which he supported.
“I spoke with her for a short while and I advised her to follow her heart if she wanted to run,” Trump stated. “My advise to her is to do it when she called me and said she’d consider it.”
