Vatican ‘Orgasm-Gate’ Could Be Final Blow for Argentinian Cardinal

( – ROME — The final straw for the controversial doctrinal czar of the Vatican, whose career was marked by scandal and rapid professional growth, was believed to be writings that delved into personal details of orgasm, both male and female.

With the recent discovery and translation of a graphic sexual text comparing orgasm to a mystical union with God, Víctor Manuel “Tucho” Fernández—a close personal friend and ghostwriter for Pope Francis—has set off a veritable ecclesiastic earthquake. The pontiff called Fernández to Rome to lead the Vatican’s powerful doctrinal office, elevating him to the rank of cardinal.

Mystical Passion: Spirituality and Sensuality, written by Fernández in 1998, states that women have a rich venous plexus surrounding the vagina, which maintains a good blood flow after orgasm.

He said, “One should not forget this. She is, therefore, typically ravenous. If she doesn’t get rid of the pelvic congestion, she might want more after her orgasm.”

“The woman needs more attention and time. After he has satisfied himself, she needs the male to give her something more,” he continued.

This week, Fernández declared that he “never allowed it to be reprinted,” having canceled Mystical Passion shortly after it was released.

He told the online Catholic news source Crux that while Mystical Passion made sense then, it is a book “that I certainly would not write now.”

As strange as it may appear given its authorship, many observers have found the book most disturbing not for its passionate investigation of the intricacies of human orgasm but rather for a whole chapter that describes chats the author had with a 16-year-old girl regarding her romantic visions of Jesus.

If the girl had given him these descriptions, it would seem that they went beyond the bounds of decorum and caution; if he had made them up, it would seem that they suggested extremely dubious insights into a young girl’s sexual and spiritual life.

Moral theologians have also objected to Fernández’s seeming defense of objectively immoral behavior as somehow consistent with the grace of God.

Knowing God’s love “does not imply, for instance, that a homosexual will inevitably cease to be a homosexual,” the author stated.

“Remember that when there is a very strong conditioning, God’s grace can coexist with weaknesses and even with sins,” he continued.

“In some circumstances, an individual can act in a way that is objectively immoral without feeling guilty or losing God’s favor or the ability to feel his love,” he added.

Strangely, in praising God, the pope also quotes “a venerable Egyptian theologian of the 15th century” by the name of Al Sonuouti: “Praise be to Allah, who establishes penises as hard and straight as spears to wage war on vaginas.”

The Argentinean cardinal has produced several publications that have drawn criticism in addition to this.

As a 33-year-old priest, Fernández also wrote the unexpected book Heal Me With Your Mouth: The Art of Kissing, released in 1995.

In the introduction, Fernández stated, “I want to clarify that this book was not so much based on my own experience, but based on the lives of people who kiss.” “My goal is to combine the common emotions that people have when they think of and experience a kiss in these pages.”

He added, “So, in an attempt to synthesize life’s immense richness, these pages emerged in favor of kissing.” “I hope they inspire you to release the fullest essence of yourself in a kiss and that they help you kiss better.”

In his studies on kissing, Fernández claimed to have spoken with roughly a thousand “people on the street.”

On September 28, 2023, in Rome, Italy, Adalberto Mendez, a Mexican lawyer and Eca Global member, addresses a demonstration held by the Vatican against Archbishop Víctor Manuel Fernández’s appointment as head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF).

He added, “I went to bars, colleges, and businesses to find out what young people knew about kissing.” “I gathered differing viewpoints regarding the various ways of kissing and what a kiss means to each of them.”

“When you suck and slurp with your lips, that’s the penetrating kiss. Sticking your tongue in is a penetrating kiss. Citing one of his interlocutors, he wrote, “Watch out for teeth.”

It would appear to be a flagrant failure of due diligence if Pope Francis had chosen Fernández to be the head of the Vatican’s doctrinal office without being aware of his contentious publications, as several Vatican observers have openly questioned.

More recently, Cardinal Fernández stirred up controversy by issuing a proclamation overturning a 2021 prohibition on blessing homosexual couples.

The Dicastery of the Doctrine of the Faith issued the proclamation, of which he currently serves as head.

Still, voices emerge from the Vatican characterizing Mystical Passion as the straw that breaks the camel’s back.

“I will state that Cardinal Fernandez’s resignation is now unavoidable,” associate editor Damian Thompson of The Spectator says. “It appears that this pontificate’s final crisis has arrived.”
