(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – The nation’s top law enforcement official, Attorney General Merrick Garland, asserted on Monday that his office had not applied a double standard of justice to the scandal involving President Joe Biden’s classified documents.
He said this despite reportedly agreeing with Biden’s personal attorneys to keep the scandal from the American people.
Garland told reporters during a press conference at the Justice Department’s headquarters that
“we do not have different rules for Democrats or Republicans, different rules for the powerful or the powerless, different rules for the rich and for the poor, we apply the facts and the law in each case in a neutral, non-partisan manner. We always act in that way.”
Garland, however, seems to have handled the Mar-a-Lago raid very differently than the probe of Biden, at least based on claims from the establishment media and an analysis of the timing of events.
The White House and DOJ allegedly tried to hide the scandal from the public. When CBS News first contacted the White House about the initial leak of classified documents allegedly illegally stored at the Biden Penn Center, they reportedly refused to reveal that the second cache of documents had already been discovered at Biden’s home in Wilmington.
The Washington Post acknowledged the Biden administration’s attempt to hide information about the second cache of secret documents, saying that
“early on, Biden’s attorneys and Justice Department investigators both assumed they had a shared understanding about keeping the subject quiet.”
According to The New York Times, the aides’ and the DOJ’s “quiet cooperation” “continued for weeks.”
According to documents submitted to the DOJ by Biden’s personal counsel, the only location where enormous amounts of classified information were held after their initial discovery on November 2 was the Penn Biden Center, the New York Times reported on Sunday.
That information was proven false when several caches of top-secret materials were eventually discovered. The DOJ requested a search of Biden’s house only after new materials were found there, and the search brought up more documents.
CBS News reported on the document scandal on January 9. Republican politicians think that the American people would not be aware of Biden’s misdeeds if the matter had not been made public.
White House officials are reportedly upset about how the Biden classified document controversy was made public after only a small number of White House and DOJ officials were aware of the violation.
It remains a mystery why Biden’s private counsel began looking through his secretly stored records. The White House or DOJ has not disclosed the initial justification or purpose for the search.

According to a Quinnipiac poll, 60 percent of Americans believe Biden inappropriately mishandled classified materials related to Ukraine, Iran, and the United Kingdom.
