(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – The New York Post reported on May 2 that an Open the Books investigation revealed that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) had spent $10 million on weapons, ammo, and “military-style gear” since 2020.
Some of the acquisitions the IRS has made since 2020 were listed in Open the Books:
- On-duty ammo costing $2.3 million.
- Ballistic shields cost $1.2 million, while another $1.3 million went toward “different other equipment for criminal investigation agents.” – an extremely opaque description.
- Smith & Wesson rifles costing $474,000.
- $467,00 tactical lights on duty.
- Baretta 1301 tactical shotguns costing $463,00.
- $354,000 on tactical gear bags.
- Ballistic helmets cost 267,000.
- Body armor vests costing $243,000.
Additionally, the organization bought “3,000 units of tactical holsters compatible with optics for weapons with optical sights and weapons lighting systems.”
According to Open the Books, the organization has spent $35.2 million on weapons, ammunition, and equipment since 2006.
An IRS job posting for Criminal Investigation Special Agents emphasized that candidates must “carry a firearm and be willing to use deadly force” to perform their tasks. This was reported on August 10, 2022.

The Biden administration is set to deploy military personnel to our border to support agents ahead of an anticipated rush of migrants seeking asylum.
The action is being taken as Title 42, the legislation governing public health that enables the United States to reject asylum and immigration petitions for reasons of public health, is about to expire on May 11.

Senior U.S. officials fear repealing Title 42 may encourage more immigrants to cross the border in search of a better life.
The administration has had over two years to plan for the end of this Trump-era policy but has failed in doing so.
Sending the military to the border appears more like a “dog-and-pony” show to win political points.
The service members won’t be doing any law enforcement. According to officials, they will only be engaged in monitoring and administrative duties while armed for self-defense, freeing up Border Patrol agents to handle migrant claims.
The only reason you weaponize an agency like the IRS is to scare and force the American people into submission. This is nothing more than a show of force; the American people must wake up before it’s too late.
