(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – The long-awaited report by Special Counsel John Durham, entrusted with reviewing the FBI’s investigation into the Trump campaign for possible Russian involvement, was published on Monday and concluded that the campaign should never have been the subject of an investigation by the FBI.

A damning conclusion was reached in Durham’s 300-page report:

“Based on the review of Crossfire Hurricane and related intelligence activities, we conclude that the Department and the FBI failed to uphold their important mission of strict fidelity to the law in connection with certain events and activities described in this report.”

Durham’s report made an apparent reference to the FBI’s use of the Fusion GPS “pee dossier” alleging conspiracy funded by the Hillary Clinton campaign.

“Our investigation also revealed that senior FBI personnel displayed a serious lack of analytical rigor towards the information that they received, especially information received from politically affiliated persons and entities,” Durham’s report stated.

Durham claimed there was no proof of any Trump campaign collaboration with Russia before the Australian diplomat’s claim that former Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos told him the campaign had dirt on Clinton.

But despite this “unevaluated intelligence material,” the FBI “swiftly started an inquiry, dubbed as “Crossfire Hurricane.”

Durham wrote:

“In particular, at the direction of Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, Deputy Assistant Director for Counterintelligence Peter Strzok opened Crossfire Hurricane immediately. Strzok, at a minimum, had pronounced hostile feelings toward Trump. The matter was opened as a full investigation without ever having spoken to the persons who provided the information.”

According to Durham, the Justice Department and FBI pursued charges of cooperation or conspiracy between a U.S. political campaign and a foreign power without “appropriate objectivity or restraint.” He further said that the FBI applied a different standard when examining Clinton’s campaign.

“The speed and manner in which the FBI opened and investigated Crossfire Hurricane during the presidential election season based on raw, unanalyzed, and uncorroborated intelligence also reflected a noticeable departure from how it approached prior matters involving possible attempted foreign election interference plans aimed at the Clinton campaign,” the report stated.

The report also concluded there was a “predisposition to launch an investigation into Trump.”

Durham criticized the FBI’s credibility.

“If the FBI’s guiding principles of “Fidelity, Bravery, and Integrity” are not ingrained in the hearts and minds of those sworn to uphold the United States Constitution and protect the American people, he wrote, “the promulgation of additional rules and regulations to be learned in yet more training sessions would likely prove to be a fruitless exercise.”

Trump is currently seeking reelection as president when the report is released. Under the direction of then-Special Counsel Robert Mueller, he and his administration were under constant review.

Some administration officials, including then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions, were forced to resign because of the collusion claims and ongoing investigation.

The claims were also exaggerated by establishment media outlets, which subjected the Trump administration to constant criticism.

Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Eric Swalwell, among others, frequently asserted that there was proof of collaboration but never presented any.

Both lawmakers were expelled from the House Intelligence Committee earlier this year by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy due to their persistent and baseless cooperation charges and, in Swalwell’s case, an alleged sexual involvement with a Chinese agent.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) said, “We’ve reached out to the Justice Department to have Special Counsel John Durham testify next week.”

This is a developing story.
