(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – In an interview Monday night on the Fox News Channel program, Hannity, historian, and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-GA) offered a blunt assessment of the charges brought against President Trump by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis for allegedly meddling in Georgia’s 2020 presidential election.
Gingrich warned, “We are drifting towards the greatest Constitutional crisis since the 1850s, uh, and the rise of secession and the Civil War,”…that will “(establish) a moment of bitterness, which I think will last for a generation or more.”

Additionally, Gingrich urged House Republicans to avoid funding the Justice Department’s investigation and prosecution of Trump, saying, “I think this is so dangerous to the very survival of the republic that it has to be stopped.”
He added, “If Trump is ensnared in legal proceedings, Gingrich predicted that millions of Americans will run for office in his place the following year.”
