(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – According to a recent article by independent journalist Andy Ngô, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) endorsed a “drag story hour” event for kids in New York City.
Ngô shared a screenshot of what appears to be AOC’s Instagram post promoting an event the Rolling Library was hosting.

In that message, it was requested that readers
“support queer places and expression under attack from the far right” and “defend Drag Story Hour in NYC.”
In addition to wearing masks, prospective guests were instructed to bring “rainbow merchandise, non-amplified noisemakers, musical instruments, joy, and love”!
The next scheduled event, referred to as “Drag Story Hour” at the Jackson Heights Library in Queens on December 29, was characterized in another section of the post as being “disrupted” by a group of “violent, loud bigots.”
“Queer community members and supporters will be present to show the Nazis they are not welcome, but that children and drag queens are,” the post stated.
To make the event welcome to “kids and their grownups when they enter the library,” it continued to urge the public to provide the event “unwavering support” as well as “queer and trans persons.”
AOC’s usual public stance regarding drag shows involving children is consistent. She also frequently affirms that drag artists are true “patriots.”
AOC joins other far-left progressive New York City lawmakers in praising drag “storytelling” for neighborhood kids.
“Drag storytellers, and the libraries and schools who support them, are furthering a love of diversity, personal expression, and literacy that is core to what our city values,” said NYC Mayor Eric Adams (D) earlier this year.
Representative Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY) stated last year that she “had the joy of assisting with a Drag Queen Story Hour in New York in April.”

This year marks the end of Maloney’s thirty-year tenure in Congress, but not because she favored drag shows for children.
She was the victim of redistricting. Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY), a fellow long-serving Manhattan lawmaker, defeated her in an uncommon head-to-head between long-standing NYC legislators.
