(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – Top officials at President Joe Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) have come under fire for allegedly hiding information about 85,000 migrant children who were released into the country and with whom the agency has lost contact.

Earlier this year, the New York Times reported that over 85,000 unaccompanied alien children (UACs) who were released into the U.S. interior had gone missing in the system after being sent to live with adult sponsors.

Most of these sponsors were not the children’s biological parents; this process was carried out by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Tens of thousands of UACs were released into American neighborhoods, and the agency lost contact with them at the same time that migrant minors were becoming more and more involved in labor trafficking.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) requested information in April regarding HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra’s participation in the UAC pipeline, particularly regarding individuals the government had lost contact with.

Blackburn claimed that although the agency replied, it did not address her questions.

In a follow-up letter to Becerra in September, Blackburn claimed that HHS had misled Congress about the 85,000 UACs that went missing.

“Your agency’s written response to my inquiry, which you did not even take the time to write yourself, was completely inadequate and an insult to the duty of oversight entrusted to the United States Senate,” Blackburn wrote:

“I asked you specifically about your knowledge of this crisis and your involvement in the alleged whistleblower retaliation that has taken place under your watch, yet your Assistant Secretary declined to answer a single question.

Additionally, I asked you to provide the documents you received regarding the potential exploitation of these migrant children, but Assistant Secretary Hild failed to produce a single document. Instead, over five months later, my inquiry was met with general information about your failed policies. [Emphasis added]”

Blackburn said she would like all relevant documentation and the precise date that Becerra learned about the missing UACs.

Becerra indicated he had never heard the number before it was reported in the Times during a hearing held by the Senate Finance Committee in April, stating he had “no idea” if 85,000 UACs had lost contact with HHS authorities.

During a hearing in July, Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-AZ) raised concerns about Becerra’s ability to ensure that all adult sponsors’ homes were inspected before a UAC (Unaccompanied Alien Child) was placed under their care.

This is a requirement that is commonly found in pet adoption programs.

In March, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas acknowledged that many of the 85,000 UACs that went missing had become part of an expanding network used to traffic in underage migrants.

The Labor Department Inspector General launched an investigation into the Biden administration’s handling of the issue since the situation involving UACs being released to adult sponsors is so severe.

A shocking report from the Labor Department revealed that, between October 2022 and July 2023, there was a 44% rise in minors found to be working illegally in the United States; many of these children were UACs.

This led to the opening of a federal investigation.

More than 300,000 UACs have been placed with adult sponsors nationwide since Biden entered office.

Still, whistleblowers have cautioned that HHS is not adequately screening those sponsors, leading to migrant minors becoming victims of domestic slavery, sex trafficking, and labor trafficking.

In all seriousness, where are the missing 85K kids, and how could this administration allow this to happen?
