White House Responds To Elon Musk’s ‘Twitter Files’ Saying ‘It’s All A Distraction’ And Hunter Story Is ‘Old News’

( – The latest “Twitter Files” drop proves that during the 2020 presidential election, Twitter removed many more stories and postings involving President Joe Biden’s son Hunter.

The White House’s position was simple – They disregarded it.

On Monday, when questioned about the White House’s response to the new facts revealed by Twitter’s new CEO Elon Musk, White House press secretary Karine Jean Pierre responded, “That is full of old news if you think about it.”

The “Twitter Files” also uncovered internal communications within Twitter about censoring the New York Post’s news report just before the 2020 presidential election.

The documents reveal how key personnel was doing everything they could to censor the data recovered from Biden’s son Hunter’s abandoned laptop from leaking.

The report also showed that Twitter banned additional social media messages made on behalf of the Biden campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

However, when asked about Biden’s opinions on social media corporations restricting content on his and his family’s behalf, Jean-Pierre remained silent.

Instead, she said that Musk and Twitter attempted to “distract” people with the information.

Given the “growing level of fury, bigotry, and antisemitism on their site,” she called it “curious or a coincidence” that he would so carelessly peddle this diversion on Twitter.

Musk and Twitter were blamed by Jean-Pierre for “letting it happen.”

She responded, “Look, what’s going on is not — it’s — frankly, it’s not healthy.” “It won’t help a single American improve their life in any way,” the speaker said.

The White House announced a roundtable discussion on battling antisemitism would take place on Wednesday, with second gentleman Doug Emhoff serving as the moderator.

The discussion takes place one week after artist Kanye West lauded Adolf Hitler and made several antisemitic remarks in an interview with broadcaster Alex Jones.

Although he did not particularly mention West, Jean-Pierre denounced recent antisemitic remarks.

“It’s just rhetoric. I detest it. And all the disgusting language we have heard these past several weeks is quite dangerous,” she continued.

We Are No Different Than China, Russia, Or Iran

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) criticized the mainstream media for accepting claims that the Hunter Biden laptop story was Russian disinformation.

He also criticized them for now wanting to treat new revelations on Twitter’s handling of the story as “an old story” during an interview with the “Fox News Rundown” podcast on Monday.

Issa stated, “The one thing that we see with the mainstream media is they want to treat it as old news, rather than covered up reporting.

And I mean, the fact is, the mainstream media was very willing to accept this as Russian misinformation or any other excuse to not report it.

Now that we’ve discovered that it was intentionally stifled by, quite frankly, the Department of Justice, in concert with social media, they don’t want to cover that story.

But that’s the largest story of our time. If you can eliminate the reporting of valid news, or, for that matter, kill anything you don’t like, then why are we any different than China, Russia, or Iran?”

He said that the information revealed by the “Twitter Files” is crucial.
