(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) froze during a press conference on Wednesday. This event was similar to another one that happened at the U.S. Capitol just over a month earlier.
According to WLWT’s footage, when asked if he would run for reelection in 2026, McConnell grinned for a split second before mumbling something inaudible and staring off into the distance for a considerable time.
BREAKING NEWS: Sen. Mitch McConnell appearing to have another scary episode in the media gaggle in Covington today. Aides had to step in to help him out and repeat questions. He was eventually lead away. We'll have the full video on @WLWT pic.twitter.com/q9ex5MHxLV

McConnell responded “Yes” when asked if he heard the question but remained silent for another 20 seconds. Then he said, “Okay,” and turned to face a different reporter.
The Kentucky Republican gubernatorial candidate Daniel Cameron is the subject of a second video that WLWT producer Shannon Thomas posted on X. After sheepishly answering the question, McConnell declines to react to one concerning Trump and quietly leaves the podium.

“Leader McConnell felt momentarily lightheaded and paused during his press conference today,” a McConnell spokesperson claimed in a statement to Breitbart News. His assistant stated that he felt well and would consult a doctor.
As Punch Bowl News co-founder Jake Sherman noted, McConnell’s condition appeared to have changed significantly just a few moments ago.

Following a news conference at the Capitol late last month, McConnell abruptly stopped moving for around 20 seconds.
He was temporarily assisted to his office before returning to the podium and declaring himself “fine,” according to the Associated Press.
The president called to check on me, he later jokingly said. I admitted to becoming sandbagged. Biden coined the phrase after falling over a sandbag during the June U.S. Air Force Academy graduation ceremony.
The event also comes after Jonathan Martin of Politico reported, in the first person, that “as someone who’s covered McConnell for years, it’s jarring to see his decline.”
He stated that a critical issue that repeatedly came up in unattributed chats on Capitol Hill during the summer was “how much McConnell has aged.”
Should there be term limits for those holding public office?
