(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – When President Trump first ran for president in 2015, he was unlike any other candidate the country had ever seen. It was hard to predict how he would do.

Even though he started that campaign with little support from Republican voters and fierce opposition from the GOP establishment, those who said he would fail in politics were very wrong.

Michael Moore, the director of the documentary Fahrenheit 11/9, was one of the few political observers to predict Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton in 2016.

He said, “enthusiasm for Trump is off the charts.” Listen to his speech on why he believed then-candidate Trump would win the presidency against Hillary Clinton.

Yet, even after seven years in politics and multiple current and past investigations, Trump is still a unique figure. No former president has ever run for a second non-consecutive term or been investigated for a crime in decades.

But Trump is doing both.

President Trump announced he would again be running for president in 2024. He said during his announcement speech,

“In order to make America great and glorious again, I am tonight announcing my candidacy for president of the United States.”

Trump is still liked and respected by Republican voters. According to Civiqs, 80% of registered Republican voters strongly favor the former president. In comparison, only 11% have an unfavorable view.

This time, he starts out as the favorite, not the underdog. Still, the lesson is the same: Don’t be too sure about what you think will happen.

Anything can happen when Donald Trump is in charge.
