Rocker Alice Cooper’s Take On Transgenderism Sparks Outrage

( – Rock legend Alice Cooper was fired by a cosmetics company that sells eerie and gothic-themed makeup after he called transgenderism a “fad.”

On Wednesday, the 75-year-old rock star shared his thoughts during an interview with music website Stereogum.

When Cooper was questioned about some of the remarks his “theatrical” rock peers like Paul Stanley and Dee Snider have made about gender-affirming care for children, Cooper responded that the woke’s obsession with the subject has gotten out of control to the point of being “laughable.” Cooper has experimented with gender expectations before.

The interviewer mentioned that Cooper’s rock contemporaries had eventually retracted their statements.

For Children, Transgender Talk Can Be Confusing

Cooper stated, “I understand that there are transgender cases, but I’m afraid that it’s also a fad, and I’m afraid there are a lot of people claiming to be this just because they want to be that.” “I think it’s wrong when a six-year-old child doesn’t know anything. You’re confusing him by saying, “Yeah, you’re a boy, but you could be a girl if you want to be,” when all he wants to do is play.

Cooper went on to say:

“I think that’s so confusing to a kid. It’s even confusing to a teenager. You’re still trying to find your identity, and yet here’s this thing going on, saying, ‘Yeah, but you can be anything you want. You can be a cat if you want to be.’ I mean, if you identify as a tree… And I’m going, ‘Come on! What are we in, a Kurt Vonnegut novel?’ It’s so absurd, that it’s gone now to the point of absurdity.”

The rock legend and devout Christian, whose hits include “School’s Out” and “Welcome to My Nightmare,” had his brand partnership deal with Vampyre Cosmetics canceled, according to a New York Post story. The company sells its products in 130 stores, mostly concentrated in the New Orleans area.

“In light of recent statements by Alice Cooper, we will no longer be doing a makeup collaboration,” the company wrote on Instagram in announcing it was cutting ties with Cooper over his comments.

“We stand with all members of the LGBTQIA+ community and believe everyone should have access to health care. All pre-order sales will be refunded.”

According to a New York Post report, the rock icon and earnest Christian, whose hits include “School’s Out” and “Welcome to My Nightmare,” had his brand partnership agreement with Vampyre Cosmetics terminated.

There are 130 outlets where the company offers its goods, most centered around New Orleans.

The company announced on Instagram that it would no longer collaborate with Alice Cooper due to his recent statements.

“We stand with all members of the LGBTQIA+ community and believe everyone should have access to health care. All pre-order sales will be refunded.”

Who’s Dictating the Laws?

Cooper questioned “the whole woke thing,” asking, “Who’s making the rules?” in this week’s interview. Is there a structure in New York where individuals gather daily and declare, “Okay, we can’t say ‘mother’ today?”

He added, “We must use the term “birthing person.” Put that on the wire as soon as possible. Who is it that is establishing these rules? It eludes me. I’m not trying to be traditional about it. I’m approaching it logically.”

Cooper, whose real name is Vincent Damon Furnier, has been regarded as a pillar of shock rock for more than 50 years. Cooper is an enthusiastic golfer and a former high school track and field champion, contrasting with his eyeliner-wearing reputation.

He attributes his freedom from drug and alcohol addiction to his Christian faith.

The Level of Desire for Gender Non-Conformity Is Laughable

He claimed that it has become excessive to “respect” others’ gender nonconformity.

“It’s getting to the point now where it’s laughable. If anybody was trying to make a point on this thing, they turned it into a huge comedy…” Cooper said.

“…I respect people and who they are, but I’m not going to tell a seven-year-old boy, ‘Go put a dress on because maybe you’re a girl,’ and he’s going, ‘No, I’m not. I’m a boy,’” he added.

According to Cooper, biological reality is an undeniable fact that logic cannot explain away.

“So I say let somebody at least become sexually aware of who they are before they start thinking about if they’re a boy or a girl. A lot of times, I look at it this way, the logical way: If you have these genitals, you’re a boy. If you have those genitals, you’re a girl,” Cooper said. “There’s a difference between “I am a male who is a female, or I’m a female that’s a male” and wanting to be a female. You were born a male. Okay, so that’s a fact. You have these things here.”

He also noted how the situation will soon spiral out of control, with women getting hurt.

“A guy can walk into a woman’s bathroom at any time and just say, ‘I just feel like I’m a woman today’ and have the time of his life in there, and he’s not in the least bit… He’s just taking advantage of that situation. Well, that’s going to happen. Somebody’s going to get raped, and the guy’s going to say, ‘Well, I felt like a girl that day, and then I felt like a guy.’ Where do you draw this line?”
