(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – It didn’t take long for Paypal to reverse their decision to fine anyone using their platform $2,500 for spreading “misinformation.”

The company announced in an updated policy that it would begin to fine users directly from their accounts if found guilty of presenting risks to users’ “wellbeing” or pushing “misinformation.”

According to reports, Paypal repeatedly has de-platformed organizations and selected individuals for their political views.

On November 3, the fintech company will expand its “prohibited activities” list. They will now include a prohibition on:

“The sending, posting, or publication of any messages, content, or materials” that “promote misinformation” or “present a risk to user safety or wellbeing.”

Paypal users are also prohibited from “the promotion of hate, violence, racial or other forms of intolerance that are discriminatory.”

According to its user agreement provision, PayPal has “sole discretion” to deliberate “damages” – including the removal of $2,500 debited directly from the users’ account.

The user agreement states the dollar figure is “presently a reasonable minimum estimate of PayPal’s actual damages” due to the administrative cost of tracking violations and damage to the company’s reputation.

Other platforms like Twitter, Amazon, and Facebook also have a history of shutting down conservatives who often take an unpopular view on controversial social issues like abortion, transgenderism, and homosexuality.

Earlier this year, GoFundMe seized millions of dollars raised during the Canadian trucker protests. Google also suppressed search results for crisis pregnancy centers.

In recent days, PayPal has reportedly canceled right-leaning accounts like Toby Young, a commentator who runs a nonprofit called Free Speech Union.

The Free Speech Union has defended clients such as Russell Brand. The actor recently moved his show from YouTube to Rumble because he was being censored.

Whatever PayPal may have intended, these types of policies only tend to censor and destroy freedom of speech.

The people have spoken. PayPal’s decision to reverse its decision to fine people for “misinformation” sends a massive message to “Big Tech” companies – The people, when united, have the power to push back and do some censoring of their own.

Big Tech – you have been warned.
