BREAKING: Hamas ‘Violates’ Ceasefire Deal, Ambushes Israeli Forces

( – According to reports, terrorists from Hamas “violated” the ceasefire by ambushing Israeli forces in Gaza with gunfire and explosives.

Terrorists have attacked Israel Defense Forces (IDF) forces in several locations, the IDF stated on Tuesday, in violation of the ceasefire.

A statement from the IDF stated:

“Three explosive devices have gone off within the last hour in two distinct areas in northern Gaza, next to IDF troops, breaching the operational pause framework.

“Over the last hour, 3 explosive devices were detonated adjacent to IDF troops in 2 different locations in northern Gaza, violating the framework of the operational pause.”

“In one of the locations, terrorists also opened fire at the troops, who responded with fire.”

“A number of soldiers were lightly injured during the incidents,” the statement added.

“IDF troops were located in positions as per the framework of the operational pause.”

The developments coincide with the expectation that 10 more Israeli hostages will be freed by Hamas later today.

It was intended for the release to occur on the first day of a prolonged truce.

The agreement initially came into force on Friday.

There hasn’t been any interaction between the Israeli military and Hamas inside the Gaza Strip up until now.

In a statement, Hamas declared that it is still dedicated to upholding the terms of the truce and charged Israel with breaking them.

“As a result of a clear violation by the enemy of the truce agreement in the northern Gaza Strip today, field friction occurred and our mujahideen dealt with this violation,” Hamas’ Al-Qassam Brigades wrote in a statement.

“We are committed to the truce as long as the enemy has committed to it, and we call on the mediators to pressure the occupation to adhere to all the terms of the truce on the ground and in the air.”

Since the ceasefire started on Friday, Israel has succeeded in securing the release of at least 69 captives.

One hundred fifty Palestinian offenders detained in Israeli prisons were traded for hostages.

The “release of every additional ten hostages will result in one additional day in the pause” in the combat, according to a statement made last week by the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Even though there is currently a lull in hostilities, Israel has made it apparent that the war is still ongoing and will not cease.

Netanyahu’s office said in a statement:

“The Government of Israel, the IDF, and the security services will continue the war in order to return home all of the hostages, complete the elimination of Hamas, and ensure that there will be no new threat to the State of Israel from Gaza.”
