(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – President Joe Biden and his administration are under criticism for an event at the White House that seemed to mock the American flag while honoring the LGBTQ community.
According to Fox News, two American flags were placed next to a Pride banner in a group of flags flown on the White House during the ceremony that faced the South Lawn.
The “Progress Pride Flag” can be seen hanging between the American flags in one shot among a collection of others from the event, and the President and First Lady can be seen among the attendees.
“Happy Pride Day from the White House!” the message said:

Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) criticized the administration over the display in a social media post on Sunday, calling it a “disgrace.”
He wrote: “Not only is it a violation of the U.S. Flag Code, but it’s also a glaring example of this White House’s [sic] incompetence and insistence on putting their social agenda ahead of patriotism.”
This is a disgrace.

The Pride flag is displayed between the two American flags in a different photo of the event that the White House uploaded (bottom left). On the White House’s roof, however, an American flag can be seen flying above the in question display.
The post refers to “the largest Pride Month celebration ever held at the White House.”

One user quickly condemned the event on social media, saying, “Imagine if you gave our veterans this much attention. Oh, wouldn’t that be fantastic.”
Another person remarked, “When is Veterans Month?”
Tom Fitton, the president of Judicial Watch, also commented on the flag display.
“Biden violates fundamental U.S. Flag Code tenet and disrespects every American service member buried under its colors to advance revolutionary transgender agenda targeting children,” he said.

To educate people on the subject, Fitton later published a link to the U.S. Flag Code:

According to the American Legion website’s section on location and style of display, “The flag of the United States of America should be at the center and at the highest point of the group when a number of flags of States or localities or pennants of societies are grouped and displayed from staffs.” [I added emphasis.]
In the meantime, a supporter of Biden who commented on Marshall’s post said, “This is a disgraceful lie: The U.S. flag always flies above the White House and is therefore flying above these decorative flags.”
However, another social media user disputed the assertion, adding, “Not at all, it is still a violation. The flags at the bottom are regarded as a separate display.”
According to reports, the president’s decision to fly the “Progress Pride” flag emphasizes the need for the Democrat Party to encourage younger progressive supporters to vote in 2024 “amid his economy of declining wages, rising rents, and expanding civic chaos.”
Should the White House fly the “Progress Pride?”
Here at Family Conservation PAC, we can think of many other flags this administration should fly before the pride flag, like:
- Old Glory
- The P.O.W. / M.I.A. flag
- Thin Line Flags (Police, Fire)
