(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – According to American and Mexican law authorities, two of the four Americans kidnapped in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, were slain by a Gulf Cartel cell.
According to reports, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) are collaborating with Mexican officials to find the missing people.
Authorities in the area have verified who the criminal underboss is. José Alberto Garcia Vilano is the current operational head of the Gulf Cartel in Matamoros. It is often referred to as “La Kena or Ciclon 19” in the criminal underground.
According to federal law enforcement officials in Mexico, La Kena has armed guards patrolling the whole city, and they fired shots at the four Americans.

The law enforcement source claimed that La Kena or a member of his inner circle would ultimately have to issue the order to kidnap them.
According to a previous Breitbart Texas story, La Kena was reportedly demoted from a boss in 2021 but has since rebounded.
It is still unknown how the scrutiny surrounding the murder and kidnapping of Americans would impact his criminal career.

Latavia “Tay” McGee, Shaeed Woodard, Zindell Brown, and Eric James Williams crossed into Matamoros from Brownsville, Texas, on Friday afternoon to need medical attention.
During a press conference, President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said they were searching for medications. At the same time, other reports indicate that some may have been looking for cosmetic surgery.
After entering Matamoros, the gang was pursued, shot at, and taken hostage. North Carolina license plates were on the group’s white minivan. The attackers started shooting when the minivan collided with another car while being pursued.
The assailants shot an innocent female bystander stepping off a municipal bus. She passed away at the scene. It is still unknown if the four American citizens were the shooters’ intended target or if they were mistaken for someone else.
Furthermore, it is still unknown why Mexican officials did not arrive at the location until after the shooters from the cartel had gone with the victims.
Most Mexican media sources didn’t cover the innocent bystander’s death until after the U.S. Embassy issued a statement confirming the kidnapping.
This is a developing story.
