(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – The Biden administration has accepted a deal with Iran to pay the oppressive government $6 billion in exchange for five American citizens now in detention.
According to the Associated Press (AP), the agreement required the Biden administration to grant an all-encompassing waiver to foreign banks so they could move $6 billion in frozen Iranian funds from South Korea to Qatar without violating U.S. sanctions.

The funds would then be kept in Qatar’s central bank until Iran could utilize them, allegedly to buy supplies for aid organizations.
The Biden administration also consented to releasing five Iranian nationals detained in the United States.
The arrangement was approved by Secretary of State Antony Blinken late last week, according to the AP.
Still, Congress wasn’t informed until Monday, which also happened to be 9/11, the anniversary of the U.S. becoming the target of terrorist attacks by Islamic fundamentalists.
The agreement violates American policy, prohibiting paying foreign governments to free American inmates to discourage such activity.
According to the article, the payment of the $6 billion was the “critical element in the prisoner release deal.”
According to reports, some European countries “balked” about participating in the transfer, but the Biden administration’s broad permission was meant to ease their worries.
The AP noted, “The waiver is likely to draw criticism of President Joe Biden from Republicans and others that the deal will boost the Iranian economy at a time when Iran poses a growing threat to U.S. troops and Mideast allies.”
