(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – On Wednesday, the Biden-Harris administration declared that residents in states devastated by Hurricane Helene would receive a payment of $750.
FEMA will handle the federal assistance, and people needing emergency relief should apply for financial aid as soon as possible.
Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris made the announcement while she was in Augusta, Georgia, a city severely damaged by the hurricane.
Governor Brian Kemp of Georgia received praise from Harris for his efforts to help those most impacted by Hurricane Helene’s aftermath.
The hurricane devastated the Southeast, destroying homes’ roofs, blowing holes in roads, and bringing down power lines that cut off communication.
“I want to thank the governor for his leadership and his close coordination with the federal government, with our administration. And I want to thank the local leaders for together, creating a task-force-like response, knowing we are at our best when we work together and coordinate resources, coordinate our communications to the maximum effect for the community that has been impacted,” said Harris.
The vice president announced that President Biden has granted Governor Kemp’s request for full federal reimbursement for expenses incurred by affected communities.
Harris went on to say that locals in need of emergency help could apply for a $750 FEMA grant.
The Democratic candidate faced severe social media mockery shortly after the $750 in aid was announced due to the “low” amount provided to American taxpayers.
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas recently revealed that FEMA lacks the necessary funds to survive hurricane season.
The Biden administration’s decision to give aid to illegal immigrants and billions of dollars to foreign nations like Taiwan, Israel, and Ukraine while offering so little assistance to American citizens has drawn criticism from some quarters.
On Wednesday, President Biden announced additional relief efforts, including using Elon Musk’s Starlink satellites to provide satellite coverage for hurricane victims.
But in 2022, the Biden administration’s FCC canceled a grant for Starlink, which would have allowed the service to be available in 17 of the North Carolina counties that suffered severe hurricane damage.
This choice was made during the Biden administration’s campaign against businesses owned by Musk due to his position on unrestricted free speech.
Additionally, Musk declared that Starlink would offer free satellite services to hurricane victims, and this has already happened.
