(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – In the days after Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was removed from his post as Speaker of the House, an Associated Press-NORC Research Center poll revealed that 78% of American adults disapprove of the course the nation is on.
A survey found that only 21% of respondents agreed with the country’s direction.
The results indicate that most adult Americans think the United States is going in the “wrong direction.”
The poll also showed a three-point rise in the percentage of voting-age persons who felt the path was “wrong” last month, indicating a broad fall in agreement.
The results of AP-NORC show that Americans’ opinions on the overall course of the nation are at an all-time low, the highest since May when the debt ceiling problem was first reported.
Just 38% of respondents thought favorably of President Joe Biden, and 61% disagreed with his work.
Regarding overall favorability, a different question was asked, and 54% of respondents said they had an unfavorable opinion of Biden, compared to 42% who said they had a positive one.
Former president Donald Trump received a worse approval rating from respondents, with 58% rating him unfavorably and only 37% selecting “favorable.”
According to the most recent RealClearPolitics data, the Republican front-runner is leading by 0.8 percentage points.
At the same time, the other candidate is tied for first place.
George Washington University Law School professor Jonathan Turley has a slightly different opinion of the poll results.
He stated: “The public is just not buying it, even though the media has been covering the Bidens for years.”
