(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – CLAIM: Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told MSNBC on Thursday that it is “hogwash” and “ridiculous” that the media claims she started an impeachment investigation into former President Donald Trump without a vote.

Conclusion: False. Without a vote, Pelosi opened an investigation into Trump’s impeachment on September 24, 2019.

However, Pelosi gave the impression of ignoring the timeline of events from nearly four years ago on Thursday.

On October 31, 2019, more than a month later, the House passed a resolution formalizing the steps of the Trump impeachment investigation.

“Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democratic leaders will hold off on a full House vote authorizing an impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump,” Politico reported on October 15, 2019.

President Joe Biden is the subject of McCarthy’s investigation for impeachment on Tuesday. The investigation aims to learn more about Biden’s participation in the family business.

A vote on articles of impeachment by the entire House could result from the impeachment investigation.

The articles would be sent to the Senate, where the upper body would be required to hear the testimony during a Senate trial if 218 House votes approved.
