(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – Nancy Pelosi announced she will be stepping down as leader of the House Democrats after Republicans won the chamber back in the midterm elections.
She said,
“The hour has come for a new generation to lead the Democratic Caucus that I greatly respect.”
During her announcement speech, she went down the list and mentioned presidents she enjoyed working with – all except one.

Pelosi was the House speaker for two stints and has represented her California district since 1987.
According to reports, Pelosi will be replaced as the leader of the House Democrats by Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY). It is suggested she would remain in Congress for a while to help guide her successor as he assumed leadership.
And now that the Republicans have taken the House, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has been chosen as the GOP nominee to replace Pelosi as the next Speaker of the House.
He was not present at Pelosi’s farewell speech saying, “I had meetings. But normally the others would do it during votes. I wish she could have done that — could have been there.”
To get there, McCarthy still needs to secure 218 votes on the House floor in early 2023.
In fact, many Republicans were not in attendance.

Accused Paul Pelosi Attacker Pleads Not Guilty to U.S. Charges
Last month, a California man was charged with assault and attempted kidnapping during a break-in at the Pelosi residence.
According to reports, David Wayne DePape was arrested by the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) after responding to a 911 call at the Pelosi home.
Paul Pelosi described to police that he had been asleep when DePape, whom he had never seen before, entered his bedroom looking for Nancy Pelosi.
According to the complaint, minutes after the 911 call, two police officers responded to the Pelosi residence, where they encountered Paul Pelosi and DePape struggling over a hammer.
Officers told the men to drop the hammer. DePape allegedly gained control of the hammer and swung it, striking Pelosi in the head.
Officers immediately restrained DePape, while Pelosi appeared to be unconscious on the ground.
DePape is charged with one count of assault on an immediate family member of a United States official with the intent to retaliate against the official on account of the performance of official duties.
This carries a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison.
He is also charged with one count of attempted kidnapping of a United States official on account of the performance of official duties, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
DePape has entered into a “not guilty” plea to the federal charges.
The media quickly blamed right-wing ideology for the alleged crimes against Paul Pelosi. Unfortunately for them, DePape was anything but “right-wing” or even considered to be a conservative.
Here’s a take on what many believe is really the case:
Where is Nancy Pelosi? She is quiet

Could this be the reason why she has decided to step down?
