(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – The Hamas terror attack on Israel, according to former Vice President Mike Pence, “is what happens when we have leading voices like Donald Trump” and other contenders in the Republican primary, “signaling retreat from America’s role as leader of the free world,” he said on CNN on Sunday.
Pence made these remarks at a State of the Union interview with CNN reporter Dana Bash:

The Abraham Accords, a historic agreement between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain in 2020 to establish peace and normalize diplomatic relations between the countries, exemplify how President Trump worked to stabilize relations in the Middle East during his administration.
During his administration, Trump championed a foreign policy agenda of “peace through strength,” mediated the Abraham Accords between Israel and several Arab countries in the Middle East, and relocated the American embassy to Jerusalem.
Pence has recently celebrated and boasted about these achievements. Furthermore, Trump has reaffirmed the foreign policy implemented during his administration as a contender for president in 2024, saying, “I will return to a foreign policy that puts AMERICA FIRST, so that we can once again have PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH.”
In a matter of weeks, Kosovo, Sudan, and Morocco also joined the Accord.
When asked how he would “deal with Iran if he were elected” president, Pence praised the Abraham Accords and the Trump administration’s efforts in the Middle East, even as recently as August, at Polaris National Security’s “America the Great Tour.”
Following his Sunday interview on CNN, Pence tweeted the passage in which he disparaged DeSantis, Ramaswamy, and Trump.
Donald Trump Jr. tweeted by calling him the “embodiment of the weakness that led to this.” He said, “you should have paid attention when you were groveling at the feet of the master.”

“Trump brought peace because the world knew — F around and find out! We’ll never return to the failed approach of you and your uniparty fools,” he added.
Following an attack by Hamas, the 45th president declared on Saturday that “Israel has every right to defend itself with overwhelming force.”
