Dark Day in American History: Trump Found Guilty On All 34 Counts

(FamilyConservationPAC.com)—According to live feeds from the courthouse, a jury of twelve found President Donald Trump guilty on all counts on Thursday.

The jury took about eleven and a half hours over two days to decide.

Before the jury pronounced its verdict, acting Justice Juan Merchan pleaded for no emotions or outbursts.

Alvin Bragg (D) of the Manhattan District Attorney’s office filed 34 criminal charges against Trump last year for fabricating company records.

Trump’s former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, concealed a $130,000 settlement payment that they made to porn star Stormy Daniels in exchange for her silence on an alleged romance with the former president; the prosecution accused Trump of classifying payments made to Cohen as legal costs.

Trump refuted Daniels’ accusations and entered a not-guilty plea to all counts.

The defense contended that Cohen received $420,000 in 2017 or $35,000 monthly in legal services. However, Cohen insisted that some of the money was paid back for what he had given Daniels.

Trump was not permitted to leave the courtroom as the jury deliberated.

“Very unfair that I am not being allowed to Campaign. Crooked Joe Biden Witch Hunt. Third World Country!!!” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.

When Merchan gave the jury instructions on Tuesday morning, he informed them that a unanimous guilty finding against Trump did not require their agreement on the “unlawful means.”

“You need not be unanimous as to what those unlawful means were … you may consider: violations of FECA [Federal Election Campaign Act], falsification of other business records, violation of tax laws,” he added.

In a post on X, legal expert Jonathan Turley clarified, “Merchan just gave the coup de grace instruction. He asserted that agreement on what happened is not necessary. The three options can differ on which of the crimes was committed.

This implies that he will still see them as unanimous even if they divide 4–4–4.

According to journalist Paul Ingrassia, Merchan’s jury instructions “may be the broadest definition of a crime in history.” The Judge, he claimed, was “literally throwing the whole book at the jury.”

Following about four and a half hours of deliberations on Wednesday, the jury asked to hear a readback of several portions of the witness testimony, including the remarks made by former National Enquirer publisher David Pecker about his phone conversation with Trump in June 2016 and his meeting with him at Trump Tower in August 2015.

Jurors requested Pecker’s testimony regarding payment to former Playboy model Karen McDougal, who alleged she had an affair with Trump, from AMI, the parent company of the media outlet.

The jury also asked for Cohen’s testimony regarding the meeting at Trump Tower.

The panel also requested to hear Merchan’s jury instructions once more. New York state courts are prohibited from giving jurors a written copy of the instructions.

Before the readbacks requested the day before, the jury sent in a second note on Thursday morning indicating the specific portion of the Merchant’s instructions they would like to hear again.

The panel also required evidence of the laptop’s speakers or headphones.

Trump spoke out about Merchan’s jury instructions in a post on Truth Social on Thursday, stating, “The Jury Instructions given by HIGHLY CONFLICTED Judge, Juan Merchan, were UNFAIR, MISLEADING, INACCURATE, AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL. They were also VERY CONFUSING (Just what the Judge wanted!), BECAUSE THERE WAS NO CRIME!”

Additionally, they were highly confusing—precisely what the Judge wanted—because there had been no crime.

The jury adjourned the courtroom early Thursday afternoon to continue deliberations. The panel didn’t ask for any further notes during the midday meal.

Trump’s lawyer, Will Scharf, told CNN’s Jake Tapper that if Trump is found guilty, they are ready to file an appeal.
