(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – Amid a presidential election, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) said he would submit legislation to defund Special Counsel Jack Smith.
Smith is rumored to be seeking yet another indictment of former President Donald Trump.

Gaetz tweeted:
“BREAKING: I will be introducing legislation to DEFUND Jack Smith’s witch hunt against President Trump.
They are attacking our democracy and engaging in election interference right now.
The United States Congress has the capability to stop this election interference, and we must act immediately!”
Gaetz fully understands that it is unlikely for a bill to pass in a Senate controlled by Democrats or for President Joe Biden to approve it as law.
He stated that it is important for citizens to know their representatives’ positions.

Gaetz criticized the special counsel’s lack of transparency. He said that he had asked Attorney General Merrick Garland to make public the names of the special counsel team members.
