(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – As Pride month draws to a close, Admiral Rachel Levine, Assistant Secretary for Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), proclaimed it should be a “Summer of Pride.”
“Happy Pride Day! Happy Pride Month, and let’s make it a Pride summer instead. Happy Pride Season.”

The admiral, who identifies as transgender, tweeted the same message and shared it on the official HHS Instagram account:
Today officially marks the 1st Day of Summer. All summer long we will be celebrating the “Summer of Pride.” I see it as an opportunity for change in our communities, states&nation. It will take us all, but together we can create a wave of change. Let the “Summer of Pride” begin!

As a way to remember the Stonewall riots of late June 1969, when activists rioted against police raids on the Stonewall pub, where homosexual men were known to gather, Pride month was first observed.

Since then, the event has grown to include an entire month of celebrations in many American cities, and now, presumably, to the three summer months, changing to a celebration of other sexualities.
Levine became the first openly transgender four-star admiral in the armed forces in 2021, according to reports.
Levine has come under fire for holding divisive opinions about gender transition, such as refusing to place restrictions on “gender-affirming drugs and surgery” for children.
Admiral Rachel Levine insists that "gender affirming care" is "mental healthcare," and "is literally suicide prevention care."

Every federal government department, including the armed forces and diplomatic missions abroad, participated in Pride Month celebrations under the Biden administration.
USASOC recognizes June as Pride month, celebrating all LGBTQ+ members in our formations. Throughout American history, LGBTQ+ members have not only fought for the right to serve openly, but have also fought in every major war and conflict. pic.twitter.com/MhwAXyIUD5
