(FamilyConservationPAC.com) – Tenacious D’s frontman Jack Black has canceled the remaining dates of the band’s sold-out Australian tour and cast doubt on the group’s future after a bandmate expressed the wish that the person attempting to kill Donald Trump “next time” doesn’t “miss.”
A day or two after an assassin narrowly avoided blowing the former president’s brains out, Australian comedian Tenacious D performed live in Sydney.
Co-frontman Black and the audience sang “Happy Birthday” to guitarist Kyle Gass during the Sunday performance. Gass was then invited by Black to make a birthday wish.
“Don’t miss Trump next time,” Gass urged, putting the microphone to his face.
I used to love @tenaciousd and thought Jack Black was funny. None of them or their music/movies will ever be played in our home again. Ever. Sickening. Not funny and done in a foreign country is even worse. If you think it’s OK, unfollow and block me. pic.twitter.com/2KG2uzUKEY

Naturally, Black is a big Joe Biden fan, just like all Hollywoodistas who love violence.

The backlash against Gass’s remarks was immediate and well-earned.
Australian federal lawmaker Ralph Babet demanded Tenacious D’s deportation on Monday.
Babet posted on X, “Those who wish for the assassination of others have no place in Australia.” In a public statement, he said, among other things:
There is no place in Australia for those who wish for the assassination of others. pic.twitter.com/wuvgQxeeDS

On Tuesday, Black announced on social media that the band’s creative plans were on hold and the entire tour would be canceled.

Clearly, even though he may have been playing it as a joke, he’s normalizing the act of wishing a man—a husband, father, grandpa, or former president—death.
But once again, expressing a desire for harm toward someone, particularly a former president and the leading candidate for the next presidency, oversteps the boundaries of free speech.
Do you believe Tenacious D deserves a second chance since he “did the right thing,” or should they be blacklisted?
